Meet Ingrid Scheffer. She helped discover the first known gene for epilepsy. Her work has improved diagnosis and treatments for epilepsy sufferers around the world. Her mother was a nurse but she was afraid of the sight of blood! Eventually she found science where she loves trying to help patients.
