Stephen is a Research Fellow working in sustainable buildings and talks about not only his own role but how that fits into benefiting the entire planet as a whole.

He learnt that his job is as much about collaborating with other people and developing communication skills as it has been ‘being a scientist’. He didn’t realise that a scientist’s work could be involved in working out how to make the houses we live in greener, more energy-efficient and cheaper and was driven to this career by a desire to make a difference to people’s lives.

This resource is best suited to Year 4, 7, 8, and 10 Earth and Space and Physics students who are learning about renewable energy, sustainable resources and careers in renewables.
