A recent study has found more than 60 pharmaceutical compounds in samples taken from aquatic animals in rivers around Melbourne. This shows a worrying and previously unknown fact about our water systems and the human impact on our water cycle. Can be used alongside the Earth and Space Sciences curriculum for Year 7 looking at the Water Cycle, as well as ecosystem topics for Years 6 and 7 for Biological Sciences.
